Game #34 in a 2019 World Series rematch, sort of.

Some of you have had this game circled on your calendars since the day the schedules were published. The Washington Nationals will have the Houston Astros in for a weekend series in a rematch of the 2019 World Series teams. The strangest twist is that Dusty Baker is now the manager of the Astros. He said in an interview about the good feelings about Washington, but still cannot let go about how he parted ways with the Nats in an interview he did this week with the Houston media. Expect a lot of mentions of Baker, and we will see if there will be any type of video board tribute to the manager who won two NL East titles in 2016 and 2017 for Washington. Continue reading

A Great Day of Baseball in Thursday’s MiLB Recap

The sunny day is behind us as we got some rain and fog yesterday as the afternoon shifted to early evening.

Wilmington’s game was postponed due to foggy weather, and the FredNats had a rain delay. The other games went on as scheduled.

García and Stevenson Lead a Huge Red Wings Comeback in Wednesday’s MiLB Recap

It was a sunny day around the affiliates today and there was plenty of baseball to enjoy it.

The Red Wings and FredNats both had afternoon games while Harrisburg and Wilmington played at their normal 6:30 PM start times.

Game #32 Mistakes continue to sink the Nats

The Washington Nationals have made some costly mistakes in games this season. It is not only fielding errors, but also baserunning mistakes, missing your cut-off man, and sundry mental mistakes.  The team is 0-14 when they commit a defensive error in the game. Luis García and Drew Mendoza Headline Tuesday’s MiLB Recap!

Following yesterday’s universal off day, all of the affiliates started a new series today.

The FredNats will face the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (White Sox Single-A) at home.

The Blue Rocks are playing the Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets High-A) on the road.

The Senators are hosting the Richmond Flying Squirrels (Giants Double-A).
