Game #81 Nats have to shake-off another gut-punch loss!

The Washington Nationals can tell you that losing isn’t fun. Especially when you were one pitch away from a key win on the season. The mark of a good team is shaking off a tough loss and beating the team that just embarrassed you.

The Nats will have LHP Carson Palmquist as their opener tonight in front of Miles Mikolas. With a taxed bullpen, the hope is that they can go deep as a tandem and deliver a much-needed win for the Nats to close-out the first half of the season.

The Phillies will start the right-handed Aaron Nola for this game. He has been very inconsistent this season.

The FanGraphs WAR chart is accumulating data. The numbers are getting very large as the season has finally reached the halfway point in the season. The OAA defense stat is now giving us a picture of what the Nats have — and don’t have.
