Jackson Rutledge Makes his Season Debut in Thursday’s Recap

Happy Cinco de Mayo and of the five games in the minors, the farm won four. Today was a pitching prospect frenzy.

The FredNats had a doubleheader headlined by Jackson Rutledge‘s season debut in Game 1. In Game 2, Rodney Theophile was on the bump looking to keep a sub-1 ERA (his ERA started the day at 0.86).

The Blue Rocks had Jake Irvin to try and respond to their loss in yesterday’s game.

Cole Henry and the Senators looked to get an edge in the series against the Baysox. The two have split the first two games.

May the 4th be with you, and Happy Star Wars Day! On this fine Wednesday, the FredNats played their first game against the Hillcats due to a rainout last night. Wilmington is coming off an emotional walk-off win courtesy of Darren Baker on the night his dad, Dusty, won his 2,000th game as a major league manager. The Senators are also coming off a big win over the Baysox. The Red Wings couldn’t get their game in due to rain in Rochester. Continue reading →

Game #26 Nats are hoping to keep up the scoring!

We are back to the top of the Washington Nationals rotation once again as Patrick Corbin, the Opening Day starter, takes the mound tonight for his sixth start of the 2022 season. He is a veteran pitcher who played most of  his career in the NL West, and this will be his 14th start in Coors Field in Colorado. His career ERA there is 5.91, but it is a mixed bag of successes and failures there. Last year, Corbin pitched 6.0 innings of 2-run baseball for one of his good starts there. Continue reading →

Alu and Gushue Steal the Show in Tuesday’s MiLB Recap and Darren Baker with a walk-off!

It’s Tuesday, and that means the minor league affiliates started a new series.

The FredNats are on the road in Lynchburg to take on the Hillcats.

Wilmington is hosting the Bowling Green Hot Rods with Mitchell Parker on the bump to start the series off.

The Harrisburg Senators are away for the week and they’ll go up against the Bowie Baysox.

And lasty, the Wings are home for the second week in a row and they’ll butt heads with the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders till Sunday. Continue reading →
