Click to Read an Important Member Update Regarding Our Comment System
We recently upgraded our comment system to improve reliability, performance, and long-term control, and we’re currently running both systems during the transition. This shift moves us away from an external service to a system we run and control directly—meaning we own the content and can continue improving it over time. We’ve also reduced the comment refresh delay from about 30 seconds to 10 seconds, making it much closer to real-time.
We understand there have been frustrations and increased feedback, and we’re actively working to improve things. What we ask is simple: use the system and give it a fair shot. If you run into issues, please submit them through the support form so we can track and fix them properly. Repeated complaints without details don’t help us solve problems—we appreciate your patience as we continue refining the experience.

The Washington Nationals have won three games in a row, and while it won’t change much for the team’s last place status, it is better late than never in a quest to avoid 100 losses this season. Can the Nats go 15-12 to finish the season? It is a big ask for a team that has a tough schedule ahead. But hey, that’s why we play the games. Continue reading →

The Washington Nationals top prospect is starting to get the bat going heading into the last part of the season. While he got off to a slow start in his time in the Nats’ system, everyone knew it was just a matter of time before Robert Hassell III started to turn some heads. The young player is currently on a six-game hit streak for the Double-A Harrisburg Senators. Over the span of these six games, Hassell is hitting .320. He also hit his first HR in the Nats organization on September 4th vs the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
To close out the regular season, the Senators have 12 games left. Nats fans should keep an eye on Hassell to see how he closes out the season.
The 21-year-old can easily be the face of the franchise in years to come, so hop on the bandwagon now. The 6’2 OF has been playing centerfield for the Senators so far and looks like it is going to stay that way.
There was some question which spot in the OF he would play, but Hassell looks comfortable in CF which is a good sign for the Nats.
With questions regarding Victor Robles longevity on the big league team, it is refreshing to see that more options are coming available for the Nationals organization.
One really positive note with RH3 is that he is not afraid to send the ball the other way. Out of his last eight hits, six of them were hit to the opposite field. This makes it where defenses will not go into shifts. It is great seeing the Nats top prospects tearing it up in the minor leagues. Who else is excited for RH3?
The Washington Nationals are in St. Louis for this 4-game series against the Cardinals after the Nats just pulled off an upset series win against the Mets.

This is a winner-take-series game, and if the Washington Nationals can win today’s game they would win this series against the Mets, and go 10-10 in this span since they changed shortstops with CJ Abrams. Yes, defense matters and the change in ERA is over 1.0 run improved by Nats pitchers. Continue reading →

One time this was “The Big Three”; Washington Nationals photo
Today marks this as the 30th game remaining in the 2022 season for the Washington Nationals. This game for Nats fans is a back to the 2019 glory days. Max Scherzer, Stephen Strasburg, and Patrick Corbin were the Big 3. Scherzer starts tonight for the Mets, Corbin for the Nats, and Strasburg is on the IL. Continue reading →

Last week, I wrote about the improbable run of Joey Meneses and what makes him different from other older rookies, or in this case, he is a 30 year old rookie doing what no other player has done in a Nationals’ uniform. His movie script isn’t fully written and that’s why we play the games. Would you believe tonight he hit his first career walk-off in a 2-strike, 2-out, extra inning situation with his team behind by a run. It was a 3-run smash. As he rounded the bases, the fans who remained were chanting, “Joey, Joey, Joey, Joey.”Continue reading →

The Washington Nationals are 7-9 in their previous 16-games. And while that is nothing to brag about for a good team, it is very good for this Nats team to be at a .438 winning percentage for over half a month after their sell-off at the trade deadline. A win today would put the team in a much better situation as they will go up against all potential playoff teams with series against the Mets starting tomorrow, Cardinals on Monday (four games), Phillies the following weekend, and then back home for a day-off on September 12.
