We recently upgraded our comment system to improve reliability, performance, and long-term control, and we’re currently running both systems during the transition. This shift moves us away from an external service to a system we run and control directly—meaning we own the content and can continue improving it over time. We’ve also reduced the comment refresh delay from about 30 seconds to 10 seconds, making it much closer to real-time.
We understand there have been frustrations and increased feedback, and we’re actively working to improve things. What we ask is simple: use the system and give it a fair shot. If you run into issues, please submit them through the support form so we can track and fix them properly. Repeated complaints without details don’t help us solve problems—we appreciate your patience as we continue refining the experience.

With the 60-man player pool rosters due by 4 p.m. ET today, teams will all have some surprises on their rosters. The hope is that no team will need 60 players to get through a 60-game regular season. But there is the contingency plan in place if there is a large scale COVID breakout that a team could literally put that entire active roster and coaches into seclusion for 14-days and bring in a new active roster. In reality, a large breakout could K.O. the remainder of this “season” or whatever a 60-game schedule is called. Continue reading →

The floodgates will open at noon today for baseball transactions. There had been a self-imposed freeze on deals with other teams since March. Teams can now make trades, sign free agents, and expand to 30 players on their active roster. Total roster sizes will be set at 60 players (the players pool) with a roster set by Sunday. This replaces the normal 40-man roster. Players will also submit for opt-outs and training camp will open on July 1st for a three week summer training camp. Continue reading →

The drama between the MLB owners and the MLB players has been a soap opera filled with more twists and turns and villainous characters than Days Of Our Lives.
MLB commissioner Rob Manfred is certainly the top villain in this, and who knows if he survives the season finale. The when and where will be officially answered soon enough, and the players could have their chance through their union to file a grievance on grounds that Manfred did NOT meet the March 26th contractual agreement that was signed after the COVID-19 work stoppage. For as long as I can remember growing up, Father’s Day was a special day with grandfathers, and my dad. There was usually a barbecue with dad having a spatula in-hand flipping burgers over the hot coals. Besides his birthday, Father’s Day was a special day for the man of the house. When I became a dad in 1986, there was no MLB team in Washington, D.C. and I looked forward to the days my own kids would play the game that I loved as a kid. Baseball.
