Game #114 Nats look for the doubleheader split

The Washington Nationals had an early three lead, and gave up five runs to Kyle Schwarber in a tough loss. On to the second game of this doubleheader with Josiah Gray on the mound against the lefty, Ranger Suarez.

With the doubleheader rules, the Nats added Amos Willingham as their 27th player, and he pitched in game one in a mop-up role and will be available for this game too. The Nats were able to not use the back of their bullpen, and should have them available for this game.

Going against the lefty, CJ Abrams gets the nightcap off an Jeter Downs will get his first start, and Michael Chavis starts in place of the lefty Jake Alu. In left field will be Stone Garrett as Blake Rutherford gets to observe from the bench.

Hunter Harvey threw a bullpen the other day. He’s throwing another one [today]. If that goes well, we will have to consider maybe sending him out as well. So we will see how that goes
