The Nationals put together a complete performance tonight en route to their first division win at home thus far in the 2026 season. Foster Griffin gave them six solid innings on the way to his third win of the campaign, and the offense was stout, getting contributions from top to bottom throughout the night. It also helped that the Nationals were able to get to the Atlanta bullpen, allowing their starter, Reynaldo Lopez, to record only three outs before being lifted from the game. All in all, this was a great bounce-back victory for the boys after dropping game one of the series on Monday night.

The Washington Nationals dropped the first game in their 4-game series with the Braves, and blew two leads in the process. As we know, errors will happen — but when you’re batting .176 with a .464 and you aren’t a pitcher — you better not be making sloppy errors. That was the case for Nasim Nunez, and it came a half-inning after the Nationals.TV crew was propping up Nunez’s paltry OPS and bragging on his defense — then the error that changed the lead happened. Yes, Nunez is a very good defensive second baseman, but he isn’t at the top of the position. Maybe not even Top-3.

Tonight felt like a story we’ve seen many times in recent trips to DC by the Atlanta Braves. Nationals Park has served as a fountain of wealth for Braves’ hitters for years, and tonight was no different, as the Atlanta offense amassed nine runs in their 9-4 win in game one of this four-game series. The great news? There’s always tomorrow.

The Washington Nationals start a 4-game series against the Atlanta Braves. The Braves are in first place in the NL East and the Nats are behind them in second place. The Nats will try to continue what the team did yesterday, and hope that Jake Irvin can put up zeros in his start.

The Nationals pulled off a 3-0 win this afternoon in the final tilt of this weekend’s three-game series against San Francisco, and they did it behind a shutout performance from a three-man pitching combo that I promise you nobody could’ve predicted. PJ Poulin, Miles Mikolas, and Andrew Alvarez, freshly up from Triple-A Rochester, combined for an eight-hit shutout to salvage a win for the Nationals in this series. The offense came all in the bottom half of the fifth against Robbie Ray, and that three-run frame would be the only scoring we saw at Nationals Park today.

The Washington Nationals blew another game they had in their grasp for a win. Now instead of going for a series win — the Nats are in salvage mode and have to face the Giants best pitcher, LHP Robbie Ray, a former draft pick of these Washington Nationals.

The Washington Nationals have to do two things today: Win and Cade Cavalli needs to have an ace start. After a terrible 1 1/3 innings in his last start, Cavalli has to get back on track and prove that he is the ace this team needs.

We recently upgraded our comment system to improve reliability, performance, and long-term control, and we’re currently running both systems during the transition. This shift moves us away from an external service to a system we run and control directly—meaning we own the content and can continue improving it over time. We’ve also reduced the comment refresh delay from about 30 seconds to 10 seconds, making it much closer to real-time.
We understand there have been frustrations and increased feedback, and we’re actively working to improve things. What we ask is simple: use the system and give it a fair shot. If you run into issues, please submit them through the support form so we can track and fix them properly. Repeated complaints without details don’t help us solve problems—we appreciate your patience as we continue refining the experience.
