Game #143 20 to go to reach 63

The math is simple. There are 20-ganes remaining in this 2021 season, and the Washington Nationals must win at least five games to avoid a 100-loss season. They need a minimum .250 winning percentage to do that.

What seemed a no-brainer just 75-days ago has become anything but that now. The Nats are a loss away from being swept by the aimless Pirates, a team tanking their way to another draft pick in the Top-5.

The Nats aren’t losing these games via a lack of offense. This is about the awful pitching. Why not option the struggling players back to Triple-A? Get guys up here who can throw strikes. Doing nothing and expecting different results and blaming it on overuse is on management.  Find fresh arms.

The Nats have Patrick Corbin on the mound and the Nats will face the right-handed Bryse Wilson, a player acquired from the Atlanta Braves.
