We recently upgraded our comment system to improve reliability, performance, and long-term control, and we’re currently running both systems during the transition. This shift moves us away from an external service to a system we run and control directly—meaning we own the content and can continue improving it over time. We’ve also reduced the comment refresh delay from about 30 seconds to 10 seconds, making it much closer to real-time.
We understand there have been frustrations and increased feedback, and we’re actively working to improve things. What we ask is simple: use the system and give it a fair shot. If you run into issues, please submit them through the support form so we can track and fix them properly. Repeated complaints without details don’t help us solve problems—we appreciate your patience as we continue refining the experience.

For those who forgot to spring forward with daylight savings time, you need to change your clocks now or just tune into the Washington Nationals game at 12:05 pm this afternoon. For those veterans who played in last night’s game, they get the morning off, but the coaching staff has a quick turn to get back to the park as the road team. The good news is the Nats are the road team at their home ballpark because the Nats face their neighbor Houston Astros in the their shared stadium at the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. The Nationals kicked off the 2019 Grapefruit League season with a night game, and they will do the same tonight with Anibal Sanchez on the mound at the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. Sanchez will face the team who gave him his start as the Marlins travel in as the visiting team for this game. If you have not seen a Marlins game this year, expect to recognize few players although Curtis Granderson was added as an NRI and should make their roster. The Washington Nationals by now are used to making the 14 mile road trip to the north to Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium which is the Spring Training home to the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins. Today’s game matches up Stephen Strasburg and the reigning Cy Young award winner Jacob deGrom who brings the new-look Mets to the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches for the first time this season. The Washington Nationals used to offer a season ticket partnership site to find other ticket partners, and with that not available for this season, we decided to create a feature for season ticket holders to meet potential ticket partners. Joining a Nats season ticket plan group is the best way to lock in great seats at low prices for the season, and for many buying blocks of 42 or 82 seats is a few too many to fit our budgets and/or busy schedules.
So this year Talk Nats is here to help with a list of plan holders who are looking to share some games. The great part about buying a piece of an established ticket plan versus opening a new plan is that the existing plans typically have the best seats within the pricing sections, so for the same cost per ticket (or less) you can be in the front few rows instead of over a section and back a ways.
The other great reason to buy into a Nats season ticket plan is the perks, check the flyer below for the full list of benefits. Plan holders get the opportunity to save up Red Carpet Reward (RCR) points for prizes. Discounts on food and drinks. Express lines to get into the ballpark and up to the concessions stands. Even playoff priority. NOTE: Not all ticket groups offer all ticket plan benefits, check the details with the individual plan holder.
Another reason to look into joining an existing plan is to get great seats for a few games in different parts of the ballpark. It’s a cool thing to check out the Diamond Club, the Red Porch, or down by the dugouts. Based on the plans available it could be possible to try out a few games in each of these spots.

The Nats are wreaking havoc on the bases with their speed and also on defense. Both General Manager Mike Rizzo and manager Dave Martinez promised that the team would be running more this year. In fact Martinez said he expected Turner to attempt 75-to-80 steals in this upcoming season. In addition, they want to get those extra bases on balls in play. During Sunday’s game, both Trea Turner and Victor Robles stole bases, and Turner also took an extra base on a ball that squirted away from the catcher and beat the throw. Juan Soto sped from first to third base on a single, and it was another indication of a possible preview of what is to come. Several Nats players have shown how speed has enhanced their defense too and great defense leads to better pitching. Continue reading →
