Game #12 has Ohtani and Gray on the mound!

The Washington Nationals won a thriller last night against the Angels. Any time you have to face Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani in a game, it is going to be must see TV. Last night, Nats’ pitching held them hitless and struck them out five times combined. While Anthony Rendon was scratched from the lineup, with a bruise on his shoulder, we might see him tonight.

Official: Nationals activate Jeter Downs, Place Vargas on the IL

The Washington Nationals announced two roster moves ahead of the second game of their three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels. First, according to Nationals communications, the team has re-called former Red Sox’s top prospect, Jeter Downs, from Triple-A Rochester. In the corresponding move, the Nationals have placed second-basemen Ildemaro Vargas on the ten-day DL list.

Nationals 6, Angels 4: Small ball and hustle with a shutdown bullpen does the job

The Washington Nationals had just two extra-base hits Monday night to open their three-game set with the Los Angeles Angels, but it did the job, as pitching held both Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout to a combined 0-for-8 clip. The Nats had 12 singles and a lot of hustle that gave them enough to push over six runs to win 6-4.

Game #11 Nats are in the City of Angels

The Washington Nationals arrived in Los Angeles to play their American League team. The Angels have a lot of new faces this year, but still have two names that everyone should know in Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani. Nats fans of course know their third baseman, Anthony Rendon, and those are the main three that the Nats will have to deal with plus Ohtani on the pitcher’s mound tomorrow.

Elijah Green’s 1st pro Walk-off was years in the making!

It was a first for Elijah Green, the Washington Nationals’ 2022 first-round draft pick, and a top prospect, as he gave the fans a show today, and showed why Nationals fans can be excited about things to come. This was a great debut weekend for the Nats’ Class-A Fredericksburg affiliate to open their season — and have the weekend finish up on Green’s first pro walk-off.

Rockies 7, Nationals 6: Nats can’t hold lead, split four-game set

The Washington Nationals fell to the Colorado Rockies Sunday, 7-6, to close out the four-game weekend series. In the four innings that there was scoring, just one of those innings had only one team score in the back-and-forth affair. The gifts given by Brad Hand and the Colorado bullpen were returned and more by the Nats’ bullpen.
