Game #87 has Patrick Corbin pitching against the Braves!

At this point in meaningful series, the Washington Nationals are just trying to show that they can still compete. The Mets and Braves are separated by just 2 ½ games in the standings, and the Braves are feeling it as they are playing with a lot of swagger. They torched the Nats last night, and today’s contest has Patrick Corbin versus Kyle Wright who has been the Braves’ best right-handed pitcher this year. For some good news, Juan Soto‘s bat really woke up yesterday. He crushed a home run and had a nice oppo single.  The issue has been that every time he has looked to be fixed he would follow up with a sub-par game. Here’s to hoping that this is part of a great second half run for the Magic Juan’d. Of note, the weather looks really bad in the Atlanta area so it is a wait and see if they get this game in.
