Game #37 Nats feeling some déjà vu but 2019 is far different from 2022

In a bit of déjà vu, the Washington Nationals face the Miami Marlins at 12-games under .500 just like they did in 2019. Right, right, that 2019 Nats’ team was a good team that had some injuries and started off slowly, and this Nats’ team was expected to lose in 2022.

This is no easy task as the Nats will once again face two of the best pitchers in baseball in this series, and tonight’s pitcher for the Marlins is Sandy Alcantara. The Nats have Aaron Sanchez on the mound.

Already there has been a chance to manager Dave Martinez‘s roster as Nelson Cruz was scratched with flu-like symptoms. In the updated lineup, Yadiel Hernandez will be the DH, and Lane Thomas will play left field. In addition, Dee Strange-Gordon will be at shortstop with Alcides Escobar on the bench.

That is your up-to-date news about an hour before first pitch.
