Game #108 the Nats have Paolo Espino to be their stopper!

The Washington Nationals have been in a freefall since July 1 and it has been worse since the trade deadline. Now the ball is given to Paolo Espino to be the stopper.

For the Phillies, they find themselves legitimately in the race in the NL East, and they sure haven’t blown away the depleted Nationals, either last week or this week. They have righty Chase Anderson on the mound tonight.

Manager Dave Martinez has another look to his lineup tonight. He does have Alcides Escobar back in the lineup, and behind the plate he is going with the newly acquired Riley Adams in this one.

This four game set is the third game in this series, and the Nats are supposed to be playing the role of spoiler — but clearly not doing a good job.
