#Nats business trip in NYC starts off with a hidden gem!

Happy birthday Dusty Baker! You got a decisive win tonight. Gio Gonzalez pitched one of his most aggressive games of the season in an 8-3 Nats win. Bryce Harper started the scoring in the first inning with a laser shot 116+ mph liner into rightfield bleachers for a solo home run. Brian Goodwin added 2 hits, and Daniel Murphy continued his assault on the Mets with 3 more hits. Michael Taylor smacked a 2-run home run in the 5-run 5th inning to push the game out of reach.

Gio Gonzalez went 7.0 full innings surrendering 2-runs while walking no batters with 5 strikeouts. Gio finished with a 2.89 ERA to place him at 7th in the NL for ERA leaders.

The bullpen breezed through the final 2 innings without using Enny Romero or Matt Albers.
