Game #70 Father’s Day Brunch Game at Nats Park!

That bond between a father and a son. Ryan Zimmerman spoke about it yesterday at his jersey retirement day of what his father Keith meant to him. Beyond DNA, fathers and their children can find a deeper sense of a relationship on Father’s Day. For Zim, it was a Sweet-16 years ago when he electrified the D.C. baseball fans on this day, and showed that baseball was back when he shocked the mighty Yankees with a walk-off home run to win the game.

This noon time first pitch will have fans in the park this morning making this a Father’s Day brunch at Nationals Park. Jackson Tetreault will get the mound for the Nats, and hopefully he can replicate what Josiah Gray did yesterday to keep the Nats in the game. Yesterday’s sell-out crowd of over 42,000 brought the energy back to the park. The Nats desperately need a win today.

The Phillies have Zach Eflin on the mound today. Nats’ lefties have hit him well in the past including Juan Soto, Josh Bell, and Luis Garcia. Bell and Soto each have a home run against the Philies’ righty.

Do it for the dads! And a happy Father’s Day to all who celebrate! The only way to watch today’s game is at the park or on the Peacock Network as they have the exclusive streaming rights to today’s game.
