Game #28 Max Scherzer must be Max Scherzer today

In an afternoon game at Nationals Park, we wrap up the 3 game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The reigning NL Cy Young pitcher, Max Scherzer, must turn back to his ace form against the team that drafted him. The Diamondbacks chose not to pitch Zack Greinke (does anyone know why?) and instead the D’Backs call-up rightie Braden Shipley for his first start this season.

The Diamondbacks won the 1st game in the series, and the Washington Nationals won last night which makes the winner of this game the series winner. Both teams will slightly change their line-ups for this game because of the flu which is going around.

On a TV programming note, the Nationals are finally back on MASN1, but then again, so are the Orioles for their night game as they have had almost all of their games this season on MASN1.

Speaking of TV, hopefully you saw the interview with Tony Rendon and Trea Turner. Matt Vasgersian joked that Trea was Rendon’s translator.
