Game #129 Nats need a win to get off the schneid against Miami

The Washington Nationals are a disappointing 0-6 against the Miami Marlins, and it just makes little sense on why that is. Time for the Nats to get off the schneid.

News broke in the pre-game that outfielder Stone Garrett, who went on the injured list yesterday with a broken left fibula, had surgery today. You had hoped he only would have needed a cast on his leg, but manager Dave Martinez had no additional information on why Garrett required surgery.

“Stone Garrett had surgery today — but I don’t have any other information on it.

— manager Dave Martinez said

The Nats starting pitchers have a combined ERA of 4.69 for 21st best in MLB.

Here is how they rank:

No. 6 Starter: Joan Adon 7.62 (starter’s ERA only)
No. 5 Starter: Trevor Williams 4.95
No. 4 Starter: Patrick Corbin 4.70
No. 3 Starter: Jake Irvin 4.47
No. 2 Starter: MacKenzie Gore 4.38
No. 1 Starter: Josiah Gray 3.85
