Cade Cavalli was Tremendous for Saturday’s MiLB Recap!

Class-A Fredericksburg “FredNats” Nationals

Jackson Rutledge had another disappointing outing yesterday giving up as many runs as he got outs. His ERA is up to 13.15 for the season. Jacob Young had a day at the plate tallying two hits, two walks, three runs, and swiping two bags. Leandro Emiliani hit a two-run homer, but it wouldn’t be enough after Rutledge’s start. FredNats lose 11-5.

High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks

Michael Cuevas was fantastic in five innings, striking out seven and not allowing a run. He was followed by an exceptional bullpen performance, giving the Blue Rocks a chance to win. The offense didn’t show up until the 8th when they put up a three spot. Jose Sanchez hit a two-run single, then Omar Meregildo tacked on another one with a sacrifice fly. Gage Canning also had himself an RBI single. Blue Rocks win 5-2.

Double-A Harrisburg Senators

The pitching staff did their job holding Erie to four runs, but the offense couldn’t cash in as they had 10 runners left on base. Alfredo Rodriguez hit a solo home run in the 9th to make the SeaWolves lead two, but that would be it. Senators lose 4-2.

Triple-A Rochester Red Wings

Top prospect, Cade Cavalli was on the bump for Game 1 and he was the best we’ve seen him at the Triple-A level. He went the distance in a seven inning game with ten strikeouts and one run allowed. Cavalli is getting back on track and that’s a refreshing sight to see. Joey Meneses was the only player with multiple hits, Taylor Gushue had two RBI. Wings win Game 1, 5-1. Logan Verrett gave up eight runs on 10 hits, all coming in the final two innings of his outing. Matt Cronin struggled in his third Triple-A outing – his first bad outing of the season across both levels. The Wings offense only mustered one hit from Cole Freeman. They lose Game 2, 13-0.

Farm System final notes 🎶

It was great to see Cavalli pitch well. Cole Henry is slated to go tomorrow for his Triple-A debut.
