Game #151 Nats are in Miami for a 2-game series!

With the Nationals in Miami, the team finally gets to face a team without playoff aspirations, but like the Nationals, the Marlins have played spoiler recently. The Marlins have been playing a lot of call-ups plus a few familiar faces and playing a brand of aggressive baseball.

The Washington Nationals are at 76-74 on the season with a “tragic” number of 6, and the team will send Erick Fedde to the mound. Fedde is trying to go back-to-back with great starts as he last held the Phillies scoreless at 5 2/3 innings. If Fedde can match his last start, he can push that 5.12 ERA into the 4’s and hopefully continue to give Fedde a chance to land a spot in the Nationals 2019 rotation.

For today’s game, the Marlins send Trevor Richards to the mound and his last good start was against the Nats when he held them scoreless over 6 innings back on July 28th. That game before the trade deadline certainly cast some doubt on the Nationals season at that point.
