Game #140 Roark and Mikolas finish the season series!

The Nationals and Cardinals finish their season series tonight, and this 3-game set is tied at a game each right now with tonight’s game determining the series winner. Finally it looks like Miles Mikolas will pitch tonight after reports said that he was pitching on Monday then Tuesday then Wednesday. Tanner Roark was always scheduled for today.

Each game has been a thriller, and these games mean a lot more to the Cardinals who are fighting for their post-season lives. Right now, the Nationals are just playing out the season, and hopefully sooner than later we get to see Victor Robles starting in centerfield.

The Nationals bullpen once again cost the Nationals a victory “on paper” but some of the Nationals on offense didn’t pounce when opportunity knocked. The Nats had 20 baserunners yesterday including 11 via walks. They killed themselves numerous times yesterday with poor situational hitting.
