Game #110 Nats go for the doubleheader split!

The second game of doubleheaders have added pressure for the team that lost the first game of the doubleheader, and it is the Nationals in just that spot as the team that lost the front end of the doubleheader. The added pressure comes from losing ground in the pennant race. Another game off of the calendar and it feels like the Nats keep digging a hole for themselves.

In this evening’s game, the Nationals will pitch Jeremy Hellickson, and the Reds will counter with righty Matt Harvey who the Nationals are very familiar with from his time with the Mets. It was rumored that the Reds were trying to trade Matt Harvey last week before the non-waiver trade deadline, but here he is still on the Reds roster.

First pitch tonight is at 7:05pm, and Davey Martinez said he would complete his line-up shortly as he needed to check with players like Daniel Murphy and Adam Eaton to see how they feel.
