The Tommy Show on 94.7 Fresh FM are hosting a #Nats pep rally

Despite winter’s rude refusal to go away, real baseball is poised to start next week. In order to get everyone pumped up for the regular season, our friends at The Tommy Show on 94.7 Fresh FM are hosting a #Nats pep rally on Monday, March 26, and you (yes, you!) are invited!

Tommy, Kelly, and Jen are taking their show to the District Live studio, and they’re opening it up for anyone who wants to attend. They’ll broadcast their morning show from 7-10 am in front of a live audience, and they’re giving everyone in attendance some goodies. They teamed up with the Nationals, and everyone will get a Nats swag bag, although I’m told not every bag is created equal. Audience members will also have a chance to sign up to play Can’t Beat Kelly, The Tommy Show’s trivia contest that pits people against Kelly Collis for bragging rights and prizes, and The St. James, an extensive sports complex in Springfield, Va, that is slated to open in September, has provided passes for personal training sessions for the winners. They will also have coffee to help wake everyone up, and Founding Farmers will be providing breakfast. Yum! If you can’t stay the entire time, that’s ok, too. Feel free to arrive or leave anytime between 7 and 10 as your schedule requires. Added bonus? The studio is just a few blocks from Nats Park, so you can wave hello at your favorite home away from home while you’re down there.

Tommy, Kelly, and Jen are huge Nats fans, and I have no doubt this will be a super exciting morning. Their show is always full of laughs and fun, and the live ones always have an extra bit of energy infused into them. I have no doubt they’ll be rocking their Nats gear, and they encourage everyone in attendance to rock theirs as well. So break out all your Curly Ws a few days early and take them on a test run – even our gear can use a little spring training.

This awesome event is free, all you need to do is sign up (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/march-tommy-show-live-tickets-44313976296) so they know how many people to expect. That link also has additional details, including the address and parking information, so be sure to check it out. This is a great way to kick off the week before the Nats home exhibition game against the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday, March 27, and the season opener on the road in Cincinnati on Thursday, March 29. The Dark Times of the off-season are almost over, y’all. Time to get pumped for the 2018 season!
