Stephen Strasburg was filthy and Nats hit a record 4 HRs in an inning: Postgame

Stephen Strasburg was filthy and the Nats win 7-0 as Jayson Werth gave the Nats all the offense the Nats needed with his 200th HR! Wilson Ramos followed with a blast and with bases loaded Bryce Harper hit a Grand Slam HR to blow the game open. Ryan Zimmerman then hit a HR for the final tally. All of these HRs were in the 7th inning to break a 0-0 tie. Speaking of breaking things, 4 HRs in an inning broke a Nats record for most HRs in an inning. The Nats hit back-to-back Home Runs twice in the inning which was also of course a Nationals record.

Marlins starter Adam Conley was cruising with his own mastery until he got over 80 pitches and faced Jayson Werth in the 7th inning. Conley had only given up 2 hits and no runs and had 8 strikeouts prior to the Werth HR. Things unraveled quickly for Conley and the Nats pounced striking for 7 runs in the 7th inning.

Trivia: Bryce Harper had 0 grand slams before April 14th 2015 totaling 2,177 PAs (Plate Appearances). Now Bryce has 2 Grand Slam in his last 24 PAs!!!! Who was the runner standing on 3rd base for both Grand Slams? That would be Stephen Strasburg!!!

Now for some Wine Drive recapping from Megs:
