Game #108 Josiah Gray’s Friday Night Lights

Rain was the issue last night for the rare 4½ inning final. The Nats were a few feet from tying the game before the skies opened up, and it certainly seems like that is the story of the season in which the Nats lose a game by being thrown put at home. Paolo Espino pitched 4.0 innings and got credited with his first career complete game last night.

Tonight, it is Josiah Gray on the mound to get back on track to finish his season. A year ago at this time he made his first start for the Nats after he was traded to Washington.

Speaking of trades, C.J. AbramsJames Wood, and Robert Hassell III are all in the lineups for Nats minor league affiliates in tonight’s games. They were all acquired earlier this week in that historic blockbuster trade with San Diego. Abrams is at Triple-A, Wood is at Single-A Fredericksburg, and Hassell is at High-A Wilmington.
