Game #65 Erick Fedde needs to come up big for the Nats!

We are now 40 percent complete with this 2022 season and the trade deadline is right around the corner as we head into the second half of June after midnight. The Washington Nationals really need an ace performance from Erick Fedde tonight. The Nats’ bullpen has worked hard, and everyone could use a Fedde gem on the Nats’ side.

For the second straight game, Juan Soto will be watching from the bench as he nurses his knee that hit the corner of the bat rack in the dugout. Maybe the rest will do him some good. He did take batting practice and work-out in the field.

There were no roster moves today, but there was roster news as Alcides Escobar will head to meet the Rochester Red Wings for a rehab assignment. Escobar was told by manager Dave Martinez that he will return as a bench utility player. Anibal Sanchez and Josh Rogers are both headed to the West Palm Beach facility to start throwing.
