Class-A Fredericksburg “FredNats” Nationals
Mason Denaburg was on the bump and tossed three scoreless innings while not surrendering a walk and striking out four.
Andrew Alvarez came in out of the pen and was great again. His outings from the pen have been significantly better than his starts, and tonight was no different. He sat down five and allowed one run on three hits.
The offense outhit the Myrtle Beach Pelicans but failed to score a run.
FredNats lose 2-0.
High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks
Seth Shuman got roughed up a bit, allowing five runs on eight hits, but he didn’t walk anyone. His ERA is still a respectable 3.50.
The offense scored six runs on 10 hits thanks to two-hit performances from
Yasel Antuna,
Israel Pineda, and
Ricardo Mendez. Antuna and Mendez both had multiple RBI.
A Pineda double in the 8th tied the game up, then Mendez took the lead on a single.
Jose Ferrer came in for the save and nailed it down.
Blue Rocks win 6-5.
Double-A Harrisburg Senators
Franklyn Kilome had a quality start with seven strikeouts and one run allowed over six innings.
Chris Taylor and Zack Brzykcy were out of the pen and held the Flying Squirrels scoreless.
Justin Connell was the player of the day with a homer, double, and both RBI for the Senators.
Senators win 2-1.
Triple-A Rochester Red Wings
Sterling Sharp scattered seven hits over five innings and only allowed one run during the outing.
Unfortunately,
Matt Brill followed up Sharp by spotting the RailRiders four runs.
The offense couldn’t get anything going as they were shutout.
Andrew Stevenson had two hits and a double.
Wings lose 7-0.
Farm System final notes 🎶
Jackson Tetreault got the call and started against the Atlanta Braves tonight. It wasn’t the best start, but great to see him get a shot nonetheless.
Junior Martina (FCL) was the only player in rookie ball to tally more than one hit.
Top prospect,
Cristhian Vaquero also tallied a hit.
