Starting Pitching is the Story once again in Thursday’s MiLB Recap

Class-A Fredericksburg “FredNats” Nationals

Rodney Theophile was masterful over 5.1 innings allowing one hit and striking out seven. His ERA is down to 1.29 for the season and could surely get a promotion as a corresponding move to Jake Irvin‘s. The offense was just as good scoring six runs on 12 hits. Jacob Young, T.J. White, and Viandel Pena all tallied multiple hits in the win. FredNats win 6-0.

High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks

Mitchell Parker was on the bump for the Blue Rocks and he was great over four innings of one run ball. He got a no decision in the end as the game went till the 12th inning. Five different players tallied an RBI, but Yasel Antuna was the player of the day with two hits, a home run, and a stolen base. The Grasshoppers more than doubled Wilmington’s hits, but the Rocks kept it close. Unfortunately they couldn’t pull it out as they lose in 12 innings, 7-6.

Double-A Harrisburg Senators

All three runs for the Senators came on Jake Alu‘s solo home run and Gilbert Lara‘s two-run double. The managed to outhit Erie as a team 7 to 6. The starting pitcher, Franklyn Kilome, and Francys Peguero both gave up a pair of runs and that would be enough. Matt Brill also through a scoreless inning to continue his impressive 2022 campaign. Senators lose another close one, 4-3.

Triple-A Rochester Red Wings

Jackson Tetreault was on the mound and he picked up right where he left off in May. He scattered five hits over six innings and allowed one run on a solo home run. Joey Meneses, Ehire Adrianza (rehab assignment), and Tres Barrera all went deep. Wings win 6-1.
