The injured list is expanding for the Washington Nationals; however, it did not claim slugger Josh Bell who received a clean MRI this morning on his knee. Unfortunately, Hunter Harvey did land on the 10-day IL with a right pronator strain, and utility man Ehire Adrianza was moved to the 60-Day IL to make room on the 40-man roster. Adrianza is dealing with a quad pull. Added to the roster is Erasmo Ramirez, 31, who has been the best reliever for Triple-A Rochester. We wrote this on Monday bout Ramirez, “Erasmo Ramirez, 31, has a 12:1 K/BB ratio and a 0.71 WHIP. He’s been working on his sinker and getting swing and miss movement and groundballs. He also has not allowed a run in his 7.0 innings of work.” The Nats will start the lefty Josh Rogers today, and Bell is in the starting lineup which surprised many. To get another lefty in the lineup, manager Dave Martinez will keep  Yadiel Hernandez in the starting lineup with Lane Thomas on the bench. For the Diamondbacks, they have righty Zach Davies on the mound today in this series finale. Davies was signed in late March as a free agent after he pitched last year for the Cubs. He was a 26th round draft pick in 2011 by the Baltimore Orioles.
