Game #147 Rockies in town for the weekend!

The Washington Nationals welcome the Colorado Rockies into town for a weekend series. Both teams are kind of in the same situation in rebuilding. The Rockies play in the toughest division in baseball making their climb all the more treacherous.

For the Rockies, they have their ace on the mound tonight with the righty  Germán Márquez and with the new Nats roster, few have faced the 26 year old veteran before.

Scheduled to start tonight is Josiah Gray for the Nats. His last three starts do not even resemble what we saw in his first five games where he posted a 2.89 ERA. His 12.75 ERA over his last trio of starts didn’t look like the same pitcher. His breaking pitches weren’t dancing like they were before and at times he looks like he has nothing in the tank. Combine those 8 starts and you have a pitcher today with a 6.00 ERA.

If the game ends soon enough, there is a scheduled fireworks show after the game. When this game ends, there are just 15-games remaining in this 2021 season for the Nats.
