Game #135 is fireworks night to cap this doubleheader!

In the second game of this day/night doubleheader, fans who stick around will get treated to a fireworks show after the game. Of course, the Nats hope to put on their own fireworks show by knocking some bombs out of the park.

The Nats designated Josh Rogers as their 29th man for this doubleheader, and the lefty pitcher is set to make his first start for the Nats. He has a four-pitch mix and showed well in Triple-A this year for the Rochester Red Wings. Rogers debuted in 2018 for the Orioles as a starter and in three starts compiled an 8.49 ERA. The following year they had him pitch out of the bullpen and without success.

On June 1, Rogers was released by the O’s and he signed three days later with the Nats and stretched out as a starter. At Rochester, Rogers posted a 3.70 ERA in 13 starts.

For the Mets, they will have the righty Tylor Megill who the Nats just faced last week. We will see what both teams do in this second game of the doubleheader with their lineups.
