Game #3 is the second game of the doubleheader, and the rubber game of the series!

The series is now knotted at a game each between the Washington Nationals and visiting Braves. Both games decided by just one run. The Nats won the first game on a walk-off and threatened in the first game of this doubleheader for another walk-off.

In this rubber game of this first series, the Nats turn to Stephen Strasburg for a chance to send the Nats to Los Angeles with a winning record. With his carpal tunnel surgery last year, this is Strasburg’s first test to get his 2021 season started on a good note.

The Braves will be pitching this game out of their bullpen with righty Huascar Ynoa as their opener. For Nats’ manager Dave Martinez, he made a few tweaks to his lineup to get another lefty into his lineup with Luis Garcia getting the start at second base with Hernan Perez shifting to first base. Tres Barrera will take over at catcher after Jonathan Lucroy just caught 16 innings of games in a span of less than 24 hours.
