Game #18 the Nats have to build on their success of last night with the youth movement! Soto moves up to 3rd in the order!

With Howie Kendrick getting a day-off from starting, this Nats lineup is even younger than yesterday’s average by almost 1/3 of a year with the average age of each player at almost exactly 27 years of age.

Patrick Corbin gets the start tonight, and manager Dave Martinez did some lineup shuffling with Juan Soto moved up to the third spot in the lineup.

Another Nats player hit a milestone today. Daniel Hudson is now at 10-years of MLB service time and as such is fully vested.

It seems like the roster shuffle is daily. To nobody’s surprise, the Nationals placed right-handed pitcher Stephen Strasburg on the 10-day Injured List (carpal tunnel neuritis of the right hand) and recalled right-handed pitcher Ryne Harper from the Alternate Training Site (Fredericksburg). Harper never departed the team physically because he was the 29th player for Game 2 yesterday, and the team could bring him back due to the injury move.
