The Nationals have their final game before the All-Star break, and the team’s opportunity to get rested up for the final 73 games of the season. For this game, Patrick Corbin gets the start to against the Royals. With Max Scherzer going deep in Saturday’s game, he was able to get his bullpen mates some extra rest. Speaking of Max Scherzer, he will fly to Cleveland for his 7th consecutive All-Star game, and Anthony Rendon will stay behind in Washington, D.C. for daily treatment on his left leg.

For the Royals, they will start the righty Jakob Junis who has been one of their back of the rotation starters and he has a 4-8 record and a 5.53 ERA. Junis has 68 career starts, and is having one of his toughest seasons. His strikeout rate is up, but so is his WHIP and ERA. He has been averaging one home run per start this season.

We will see what lineup manager Dave Martinez pencils in for tomorrow against the righty Junis. Only three Nationals batters have faced Junis before and they are Brian Dozier, Gerardo Parra, and Yan Gomes.
