Game #68 The Nationals have an afternoon game in NY

The business trip for Dusty Baker‘s guys is going well so far with 2 wins in the first two games against the Mets in New York. It is no time to let up as they don’t want to give back any of that lead they have squirreled away. Tomorrow’s game with Joe Ross going up against Jacob deGrom looks like an easy win for the Mets on paper, but that is why we play the games. Today’s game has Stephen Strasburg for the Washington Nationals going against right-hander Seth Lugo for the Mets.

Lugo just came off the DL earlier this week and has pitched one game so far this season just like Steven Matz had before last night. Only 5 Nationals players have faced Lugo before and Ryan Zimmerman is 1-for-3, Daniel Murphy 1-for-4, and Trea Turner is 1-for-4. Bryce Harper and Anthony Rendon are hitless against Lugo when they faced him before.

Many thanks to Andrew Ross for arranging the TalkNats trip to CitiField. There should be over 200 people in the group as well as several people that Lisa R. arranged from their Half Street Irregulars group. Andrew really put together an affordable trip for only $89 that includes a bus trip, game ticket and t-shirt. Contrast that to similar trips that generally go for about $150.
