It was a duo of slams in a grand #Nats win in Atlanta!

The Washington Nationals crushed two grand slams en route to a 20 hit barrage in a 14-4 win behind 7 strong innings by Joe Ross who beat the Braves’ number one pitcher Julio Teheran. Bryce Harper was 4-4 with 2 home runs including a grand slam and Ryan Zimmerman had the other grand slam.

The only downer in the game was Jayson Werth exited with some lower body discomfort in what Dusty Baker called a “groin spasm” and listed as day-to-day. He was replaced by Chris Heisey.

Bryce Harper now has seven home runs off of the Braves starter Teheran surpassing the six homers that Bryce has against Tom Koehler of the Marlins. Do you think Koehler is celebrating tonight that Teheran wears the HR crown?

Every Nationals position player who had an at-bat tonight had a hit except for Daniel Murphy. It was a good night to pad the offensive stats.

“We had a big offensive night especially out of Bryce, and out of Zim, and when you get 20 hits, it’s almost everybody,” Dusty Baker said. “We played good baseball tonight.”
