Another loss out of the bullpen; Roark with a solid start

The Washington Nationals fielded a line-up with 4 reserve players, and we are not sure why Dusty sat so many regulars on this Saturday game when the Nationals had a day off 2 days ago and will have another 2 days from now. Sitting Jayson Werth and Matt Wieters made sense, but why not start Adam Eaton at least if he was in fact healthy as he entered the game in the 8th inning.

Chris Heisey hit a solo home run to tie the game 2-2 in the bottom of the 7th inning, but almost immediately Joe Blanton came out of the bullpen and gave up a 2-run home run to seal the final score of 4-2.

Tanner Roark went 7 full innings and pitched very well but botched a bunt comebacker off the bat if Howie Kendrick which turned into the second run of the game. Roark lowered his ERA to 3.50 and there is a possibility that the Kendrick bunt single could be changed to an error and remove one earned run.

Roark accounted for one half of the Nationals hits today as he had 2 of the 4 hits with the others by Anthony Rendon on a RBI single and Heisey had the solo home run.
