TVT carries this team with 2 bombs & the walk-off [5 Videos]: Postgame

The Nats won tonight 5-4 on a walk-off home run from Trea Turner. Turner hit 2 home runs on the night with 3 runs driven in. How does Trea Turner do it?

These aren’t wallscraper home runs—-these are bombs from a kid who is maybe 185 pounds (according to his baseball card). Remember, this isn’t a try-out (insert sarcasm). Trea Turner just won another game to carry these Nats with a two-run home run in the 7th inning, and the walk-off in the 9th inning.

With this win tonight, the Nationals just tied the win total of the 2015 season at 83 wins. Keep in mind, the Nationals have 21 games remaining to play in this regular season.

Tanner Roark gutted through 6 innings of one-run baseball and struck out 8 batters. He kept the Nats in the game and all was well until the 8th inning when Koda Glover gave up a three-run home run and the 4-1 lead evaporated. Mark Melancon pitched a scoreless 9th inning and was credited with the win.
