This morning as the sun rose there was a Classic Car and Hot Rod show organized by Adam Eaton to benefit pediatric cancer on behalf of the Dragonfly Foundation.

Afterwards, the Washington Nationals held their annual season plan holder event, and as usual the kids event has the top highlights.

At the kids Q&A event with Bryce Harper and Ryan Zimmerman in the Norfolk Southern Club, the first question was predictable:

Q: “Bryce, are you going to stay with the Nationals after this year?”

A: “You will have to ask Mr. and Mrs. Lerner.”

spoke about when he is retired and returns to watch games that he looks forward to criticizing the other players with, “how did he miss that pitch, it was right down the middle!” That received some big laughs from the crowd.

There is a game today also that begins in the mid-afternoon at Nationals Park. The Nationals are pitching Austin Voth as Tanner Roark who will rest up after the birth of his son back in Atlanta last Sunday. The Mets will pitch righty Corey Oswalt who takes the place of Zack Wheeler who met his innings limit and is done for the season.
