T -minus 9 hours and 10 minutes until the non-waiver trade deadline or as some call it the trade deal-line.

The Nationals have made two impactful trades so far this month acquiring 3 players. Ryan Madson and Sean Doolittle came over in the Treinen, Luzardo, and Neuse deal with the Oakland A’s. The other trade was Howie Kendrick for Mills with the Phillies.

The Nationals could use a legitimate closer and a backup catcher. It sounds just like the package the Cubs pulled off with the Tigers for Justin Wilson and Avila which was a closer/catcher package but keep in mind the Cubs already have closer Wade Davis and starting catcher Willson Contreras.

What would make this trade deadline successful for the Nationals?
