The Washington Nationals take on the Mets tonight on the ESPN Sunday Night game of the week. The Nationals will pitch Max Scherzer against the Mets Zack Wheeler.

Jayson Werth is back in the line-up and Dusty Baker will pencil in another new-look line-up today. As rumored, Stephen Strasburg will head out on paternity leave to be with his wife Rachel for the birth of their second child.

After this game the Nats must travel after midnight to Colorado, but the Mets not only get a day-off, they get to stay home for their next series. The schedule management personnel for Major League Baseball did a real disservice to the Nats.
