If you like offense, you got it tonight. Anthony Rendon with a grand slam which was the 1st of his career, and wouldn’t you know it, Trea Turner with the game winning RBIs. Bryce Harper had 2 hits tonight, and stole his 20th base to join the 20/20 Club. Daniel Murphy went 3-4, and Ryan Zimmerman added a solo home run.
The relievers had to pitch 6 innings tonight after Dusty Baker pulled Gio Gonzalez who gave up 6 runs. The relievers who got the job done were Sean Burnett, Blake Treinen, Shawn Kelley, Oliver Perez, and Koda Glover. Melancon got the save but sure did make it an interesting 9th inning as he had a 3 run lead to start the 9th inning.
